ANAPORC
(Sponsors of the Tea/Coffee breaks) Our organisation is known as Anaporc which is a Spanish acronym for ‘Spanish association of swine veterinarians’. It was founded in 1978 and is based in Madrid. The association works at national level and its activities are maintained in the entire national territory. Its objectives are the following: - To promote and expand knowledge of all aspects of the science and industry related to pigs and pig breeding.
- To establish a unifying link between those occupied with science and those involved in application of acquired knowledge and the integral development of pig breeding and its industries.
- To spread relevant knowledge to all fields of production, commercialisation and industrialisation related to pig farming, and improvement of the exchange of knowledge between those interested in these fields.
- To promote national conferences on pig farming, scientific publications, regional conferences and any other activity that is of actual interest for this sector.
In order to reach these goals, cooperation with other national and international organisations is taking place. A journal is published on the subject of research in order to spread knowledge on pig breeding and farming which will be distributed amongst members.
