Martina Escher
Martina Escher

Science Communication Intern

Martina Escher is a veterinarian undertaking a PhD in veterinary epidemiology at the Italian Public Health Institute (ISS) in Rome.

Her project is examining the epidemiology of antibiotic resistance in pets (cat and dog) and to study how veterinarians and pet owners use antibiotics according to the principles of prudent use. This will provide a better understanding of how antibiotics are used.

In February 2008 Martina joined the Med-Vet-Net Science Communication Internship.
