Francesca Baldinelli

Science Communication Intern

Francesca Baldinelli is a PhD student at the Italian Research Institute of Public Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanitเ – ISS), in Rome, Italy.

Her project involves producing a simulation of the geographic spread of avian influenza when it is introduced to an area by migrating wild birds. In particular, she will investigate how the characteristics of the environment, the disease and the susceptible birds can affect and modify the spread.

In February 2008 Francesca joined the Med-Vet-Net Science Communication Internship.
